My approach with Game Dev
I’ve always been curious about video game development. I’ve dreamed of working in this industry since I was a child. As a kid, I used the different level editors of the games I played several times, without ever producing anything really concrete.

First Step
I really started creating games and maps in 2019 with three different projects:
-
A 2D platform game
-
A board game
-
A map on Unreal Engine
DESIGN THAT INSPIRED ME
Show, don't tell

Curiosity leads exploration

Curiosity is, for me, one of the most humane sentiments. Being able to use it in the design and make the player feel it is one of the best ways to immerse the player in a new world and not a new game.
Creating unique moments

Often due to multiplayer and emerging gameplay, unique moments and interactions create unique memories. Also, it can create a social aspect that makes the experience more special. Who has never shared with their friends a secret passage in Dark Souls or a spectacular goal scored in Rocket League?

My Experience At Virtuos
Introduction
From September 2022 to June 2023, I was in a QA Testing internship at Virtuos Paris. I've worked on two different projects:
-
MAHOKENSHI, an AA RPG project
-
JUDAS, an AAA narrative FPS project
Note : Mahokenshi has been released in January 2023
As a QA Tester
Even if it wasn't about Game or Level Design, I've learned a lot during this internship about the production of AAA games, the daily use of English at work, and the tools used. Being a QA tester also allowed me to work with a lot of different jobs!
Also, I was the only QA with my lead on these projects. It also allowed me to develop my autonomy. There were times when other QA’s joined me during a time course. So I had to onboard them on projects, preparing in advance various documents on how we work.
I have met a lot of interesting people with unique careers, it was a great opportunity to talk with Game and Level Designers, Artists, Programmers, and Producers.
Other opportunities
During my internship, I also greeted high school students to tell them about my background, the industry, and the work of QA Tester. It was inspiring to see them already eager to learn. It also challenged my ability to present projects to people who don’t know game development.

That's me!
